Happy Lunar New Year!
The preschoolers continued learning about China this week! We talked about the meaning behind the Lunar New Year holiday, and the legend of the monster Nian. We also read a story about the origin of the Chinese zodiac, and everyone learned what animal they are based on their birth year! Baba taught some words and phrases in Mandarin Chinese, and lots of preschoolers really amazed us with their memory and pronunciation! On Friday we celebrated with a Lunar New Year party and dragon parade!
